Michael Jackson
I watched an early MJ, the same vision that’s been everywhere over the weekend, of him with his brother at Motown and the US talk shows.
As a DJ in the late 70’s in the UK if you wanted to get the feet on the floor you played a Michael Jackson song.
His music was best played loud, even the ballads.
A a song writer his best work, I feel was the collaborations with “Q” and Rod Temperton. Then the Bad album was something special, in video clips the technology was developed enough to be able to make his thoughts & ideas come to life without looking like the producer had used many shortcuts to acquire the end result.
His early years were sad from the family angle & his life ended as a 50yr old man trying to get rid of pain.
Many fans wrote of their love of the man, this is one http://michaeljacksonbeat.blogspot.com/ I loved the ‘sound’ of the music the feel created by the producer with the quality product he was given to work with.
The man never grew up..had he have grown up, he would never have been so brilliant. His music lives on.
