Can Sponsorship take a new turn?
Sponsorships, the way sport goes around, and around.
Recently it was announced that the Chelsea Football club has just made a sponsorship agreement, short term I believe, with the Sauber F1 team.
Rather like exchanging 3 toys for 3 different toys when you we a kid, or in the radio game we call it contra, the 2 teams will exchange logos. Chelsea will have logos on the car and Sauber logos will be on all press event backdrops for the current European football campaign.
This leads me to think about the bigger organizations with swapping agreements rather than financial agreements, but what about the rest of the time when you want cash to pay bills, that is the principal of the swapping. In this case, just promoting each other, but for bigger teams in F1 where they can command huge money for a square inch of bodywork, this wont work. But thinking head Where could it end.
Thanks to Sutton images for the picture. Classy images, and a big part of my enjoyment of Formula1
