Vettel F1 Champion
I have just finished watching the documentary on Formula 1 driver Jody Scheckter. He was the World Drivers Champion in 1979 racing for Ferrari.
In that documantary, narrated by Stirling Moss the greatest racing driver never to be World Champion, it went through the days at Tyrrell and the 6 wheeler with Patrick Depailler up to the year at Wolf with that pretty little car that was far better than it should have been it Scheckter hands. I was thinking about how they will view the “Sebastian Vettel years”.
We’ve had, since Jody, the Schumacher Years (another German) in which they were almost boring. 2 at Benneton then a break before joining Ross Brawn at Frerrari for the glory days there. Even what we thought was going to be the Hamilton years, that one is still on the presses. Already double World Champion & only 24 years old in a car that could be “the big thing” until the return of the turbo era in 2014.
The story is here http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2011/6/12237.html
Licking my lips in anticipation, till then… possible 4 time champion before that time, what would the bookies give me on that one?
